AlUla Artist Residency: Tracing Impermanence
Sector: Arts & Culture
Disciplines:  Editorial Design
Role: Graphic Design at Flint Culture
Year: 2025
AlUla Artist Residency is an engaging and transforming programme that brings artists from around the world to work closely with AlUla’s landscapes. It provides the needed space and support for the artists to explore and create meaningful concepts and ideas that evolve across different creative practices.
Tracing Impermanence is an editorial project that documents 2025 research-based artistic projects through a thoughtful publication, which is designed it to serve as a clean and bilingual piece. It focuses on clarity, material and structure allowing the content to flow naturally.
Both Arabic and English texts are set side by side using a minimal and flexible grid. To highlight the equal weight of both texts we used a simply typography, while using white space to allow both the text and images to breathe. The layout stays subtle letting the work speak for itself, showing artists' connection to the movement and the place. This editorial publication serves as a record of the residency and a continuation of its ongoing conversation.
